The first door prize is the best, most valuable door prize of the day. This is designed to get everyone to the meeting in a timely manor. If you miss out on this one, you'll be sorry! There will also be several other door prizes throughout the day.

Racing Sign Up! (1:45 - 2:00)

Please take this time to sign up for any or all of the classes of racing, (One car entry per class, per member) because racing starts at 2:00 sharp!

Down hill drag racing (2:00 - 3:00)

Two lane elimination rounds in four classes:
(These four classes are scored each meeting for the year end championship!)

Red lines  - Stock Hot Wheels cars from 1968 - 1977

Black Walls  - Stock Hot Wheels cars from 1977 - Present

Open class - Any type of stock 1/64th scale die cast car other than Hot Wheels, such as Johnny Lightning, Matchbox, Racing Champions, Cigar Box, Corgi, Ertl, Etc. (Sorry Hot Wheels fans, but we need a class for those members that enjoy other brands of die cast!)

Unlimited Modifieds - Any type of 1/64th scale car with body, chassis or wheel modifications of any kind. Total length of finished car must not exceed 6". Any type or amount of weight may be added up two the limit of 2 lbs. (Lets not tear up the track too much gang!) Original chassis parts may be used to make your own chassis and to mount axles. Chassis and axle mounts may also be made from scratch. Any type of 1/64th scale wheels may be used, but must be original and unmodified.  Axles may be cut, bent or otherwise modified to fit the car or track for best performance. Car may be painted and themed to suit builder's style.
Be creative, because as long as it is less than six inches long, is based on a 1/64th scale die cast, and fits on the track, you can race it!

Winners of each class will recieve a Hot Wheels Flame pin*, that may be proudly displayed on the member's name badge. After five (5) wins, members will receive a Hot Wheels Racing pin* signifying that they are a five race winner! The prize for a twenty race winner is a Hot Wheels 30th Anniversary Pin*!

(*Pin type subject to change due to availability)

The following scale is a break down of how the points system is used to determine a year end champion in each class:

Entry into a race = 1 point
Finish second in a race = 2 additional points (For a total of 3)
Win a race = 4 additional points (for a total of 5)

A trophy will be awarded to the year end champion of each class at the December meeting.

(In the event of a tie in points at year's end, a race off will occur to determine the winner in each class)

Specialty Races: (Races that are not held at every meeting)

Stock Bodied Modifieds (Check schedule for dates)

Any type of 1/64th scale car, but with original body and chassis unmodified. No cutting or stretching of body or chassis allowed. Body may be taken off of chassis, weight added then re-attached in original configuration. (Either rivited or glued) Weight may be added to outside of body as well, but added weight must not add length to original body or chassis. Car must weigh 12oz or less, and must be 4" in length or less. Wheels may be changed, but must be of original die-cast type. (Wheels from another 1/64th scale die-cast car may be used) Axles may be cut, bent or otherwise modified to fit the car or track for best performance. Wheel base must be consistant with original configuration.  Car may be painted and themed to suit builder's style.

Pink Slip Race  (Check schedule for dates)

This is a race where club members are required to bring a packaged Hot Wheels car to race. Members write their name on the back of the package, and place them in the stageing area. Standard one on one elimination rounds are run until there is a decisive winner. The winner of the race keeps their winning car, as well as all of the cars entered by the other members!

Carole Adams Memorial Race (October Meeting)

This race is a tribute to my late Mother Carole Adams, who passed away in October of 2002. She was a very active member of the club, and will be missed for all of her help and inspiration.

Any type or brand  or vintage of  stock 1/64th scale die-cast car may be used, but it may not be a car that was raced previously that meeting. The winner will receive the "Carole Adams Memorial trophy" which features a car from my Mother's personal collection mounted on top.

Slow Poke Derby - "Ready, Set, Lose!" (April Meeting)

This race is unique, fun and challenging! The object is the opposite of regular racing, with the loser of each round advancing to the next round. The ultimate loser of the day will receive the "Slow Poke Derby Trophy" with a Hot Wheels "Hot Seat" mounted on top.

Any vintage or stock 1/64th scale Hot Wheels car may be used including: Red Lines, Treasure Hunts,  Specialty Series, Mainline, Series.Cars Etc. As long as it says "Hot Wheels" on it, you can race it. If desired axles and wheels may be modified for worst perforance. (Bent axles, glue, carpet fibers, scuffed wheels etc.) All  original components of car must remain in tact including wheels. Wheels may not be removed from car. Chassis may drag track surface, but at least two wheels must make contact with track. No foreign objects may be added to car body or chassis to produce extra drag.

Most importantly the car should be slow enough to lose, but it must make it down to the finish line and trip the finish gate's indicator light!

Good luck!
